Most of what makes a good day in our workspace is small and practical: where you sit, what you ask for at the counter, and when to move into a room with a door. This is what we would tell you on your first visit, written down so you do not have to wait for it.
The workspace is free. There is no day rate, no membership and nothing to book for everyday working. Buy a coffee and the desk is yours for the day.
Sit at a desk
The workspace is its own room, with full-size desks and proper chairs. If you are staying for longer than a coffee, go there. A cafe table is fine for an hour. For four hours you want the desk.
Bring the charger
There is power at nearly every seat, so a charger is more use to you than a power bank. Plug in when you sit down and stop thinking about your battery.
Ask at the counter
The WiFi is free and handles video calls. If you need the network password, or something printed, ask at the counter and someone will sort you out.
Eat here
The whole menu is served all day, so lunch does not have to interrupt anything. On weekday afternoons there is a happy hour on sandwiches, and the details are in our FAQ. We ask that you do not bring outside food in. Buying something here is what keeps the room free for everyone else.
Move rooms when it needs a door
Video calls are fine at a desk. When a call is private, or a meeting has more than a couple of people in it, the conference room seats ten around a table with power built in, has a screen and a mobile whiteboard, and is booked by the hour.
Take your breaks here too

When you need ten minutes away from the screen, the library is right there. Every book on its shelves was given to us by somebody who could say why they liked it. There is a community book on the shelf that anyone can write or draw in, a shelf of board games for when the work is done, and the Art Wall.
