Boxed lunches, if people will eat at different times, in different places, or with different diets. A sandwich platter, if everyone is sitting down at one table at the same time. Most meetings fall clearly on one side of that line.
When boxes win
A boxed lunch is one person’s meal, boxed and labeled. That matters when people are taking lunch back to their desks, or eating through a training while the next session starts. It matters when part of the group is vegetarian, vegan or avoiding gluten, because each person’s lunch is its own. And it matters when you need to know that everybody got something.
Our boxed sandwich lunch is one sandwich, sea salt chips and a full-size cookie. For anyone avoiding gluten, the gluten friendly bowl lunch is any of the sandwiches made as a bowl, with chips and a sealed brownie that is certified gluten free.
When a platter wins
A platter is one whole sandwich per guest, halved for serving, with chips, laid out for the table. It suits a meeting that eats together: a working lunch around one table, a team lunch, or a client meeting in our conference room, which seats ten.
Choosing the sandwiches
You choose from the same three sandwiches for either one. The Boring is turkey, Havarti, avocado spread, mayo, lettuce and tomato, on a croissant or Dave’s bread. The Picnic is prosciutto, spinach, fig spread, Havarti and cream cheese. The Rustic is the vegan one: spinach, tomato, cucumber, avocado spread, hummus, olive oil and vinegar on Dave’s bread.
What the tags mean
On our catering menu, vegetarian and vegan mean what they say. Gluten friendly means made without gluten ingredients, in a shared kitchen. Our kitchen handles common allergens, so if anyone in the group has an allergy, tell us before you order. We cannot promise allergen free preparation.
How to order
Both are on our catering menu, with the minimums and how much notice we need. Orders go through ezCater or Foodja, for pickup or delivery.
